Drom Operational Rules

The following key points must be observed with regard to the Drom facility:

1. Under no circumstances are players (juvenile or adult) to be dropped off at the gate. Cars must enter the facility fully and then drop off. Similarly for collection. Failure to observe this rule will result in suspension from Club activities.

2. Players should only attend at Drom for officially organized games and training sessions. Players are not to be brought to or left at Drom in any circumstance where they are unsupervised by a Salthill Devon manager or coach. In particular, it is not acceptable that groups of players would be dropped off at Drom and left to their own devices when no official Salthill Devon training session has been organized for that time.

3. The Drom facility is a private members facility not a public playground. Entry is as a Club member (under the rules and procedures which are defined for individual members and groups) or by invitation of the Club to participate in games or coaching. If you have not paid a membership subscription then you are not a member and have no business entering the facility.

4. Parents and adults, when coming to Drom, are expected to become familiar with and to observe in full the guidelines for traffic management issued by the Club.

5. Parents and players are expected, at all times, to be respectful and courteous to our neighbours and their property and social amenity and not to cause annoyance or to interfere with it in any way.

6. All players are expected, at all times, to be respectful and courteous to the operational personnel and to observe all directions given to them to stay off certain sections of the facility including grass pitches.

7. Players when coming to Drom should first report to their manager or coach and then proceed to the area which has been allocated to the group for the activity for which they are attending.

8. Players are expected to place any litter including cans, plastic bottles etc in the bins provided.

9. No chewing gum is allowed when using the facility.

10. Steel studs are NOT to be worn on the all weather surfaces. Also shin guards are compulsory at all training sessions.

11. Membership of the Club implies an acceptance of the rules and procedures which the Club Committee will, from time to time, publish in respect of the usage of the Drom facility and the other rules of the Club.
