Salthill Devon U12s into last 32 of Irish Cup Trim v Salthill DevonThe Under 12 travelled to Meath last Saturday not quite sure what to expect. Thankfully the previous weeks preparation on the training ground and logistics for the day meant the team were in top shape on arrival. Right from the off Salthill Devon took the game to there opposition and had attack after attack and after 5 mins Conor O'Keefe skilfully broke free and brought an excellent parry from the keeper but Caolan Tobin was on hand to bury the rebound. From here on the boys were relentless and piled on the pressure at every opportunity and the goals started to flow. Scorers on the day were Conor O'Keefe, Caolin Tobin, Tommy McClean, Owen Power, Keegan Kelly, Eamon Conroy and Marcus MacDonnacha. The full squad turned in a great performance on the day but the stand out players were O'Keefe ,Tobin, Ben Brennan and super keeper Kevin Horgan Who marshalled his defence well and dealt with every thing Trim had up front. All in all It was a good day for the lads but they know it will be a lot harder from here on in. Next up we are away to Kingdom Boys who are the schoolboy section of Tralee Dynamos.
