We have entered our under nines and tens into a locally run development league, starting next Saturday, 12th October.
As these games start at 1-00pm, we will move the time of our coaching to 10-00am for the duration of the league which runs for approx 4 to 5 weeks.
Due to the number of kids we have at under 10, we will not be able to play all the kids each week, but rest assured that all players will get an equal opportunity.
To this end, the managers/coaches will pick the players into teams and the players that are playing on a particular date will be texted so as to avoid confusion.
Finally, we are looking for parents to manage these teams to assist the coaches in the overall running of the league. Rest assured that you will not be abandoned as the coaches will obviously have an involvement, but we want to spread the load and have more parental involvement.
The purpose of this league is not to win, but to give each child a chance to wear the jersey.
In summary, the main points are as follows:
- Training time will change to 10-00am to 11-15am for the league duration
- All players train each Saturday
- All players will get a chance to play in the league
- Players involved in a particular weekend will be contacted by text with details of venue, time etc
- We are seeking parents to manage the teams
