Salthill Devon defeated local rivals Mervue United 2 nil in Drom on Saturday evening. The Devon goals were scored by Gerry Burke and Cprian Straut.
The draw for the Fourth Round of the FAI Ford Cup was made this evening. Galway will also host a local derby, as Galway United take on Salthill Devon. The FAI Ford Cup Fourth Round matches will be played on the weekend ending August 29th.

The Independent Disciplinary Committee has ruled that Wexford Youths breached the FAI Rule Book by fielding an ineligible player in their recent Airtricity League First Division match against Salthill Devon (04/04/10).
As a result of the breach, Wexford Youths will forfeit the match and Salthill Devon will be awarded a 3-0 victory.
Wexford Youths have the right to appeal this decision.

Shelbourne got their first win this season in the Airtricity First Division on Friday night at home to Salthill Devon. The Reds were made to work far harder than many expected in the opening 40 minutes, with Devon having a number of chances.

The Independent Club Licensing Committee today (February
15th) awarded 14 Premier Division licences, seven First Division licences
and five Newstalk A Championship licences for the 2010 season. Salthill
Devon have received a 1st Division Licence.

Salthill Devon confirms decision to enter League of Ireland First Division
At the Special General Meeting held on Monday 18th January, a large turnout
of club members fully endorsed the proposal from the committee to enter
the League of Ireland First Division for the 2010 season.
Speaking after the meeting, Tony Johnstone, club chairman, said he was delighted that the proposal had been so fully and enthusiastically supported. Continuing he said: As a club, weve always had the ambition to play at the highest level possible. Entry into the LOI at this level is consistent with this goal and provides an important line of sight to all our young players to the highest standards possible in the game. I have every confidence that we will acquit ourselves with distinction and we look forward to taking on the challenge.
